We believe that every business owner should have a basic level of financial knowledge, regardless of whether they engage someone to manage their finances. Financial skills help you ask the right questions, give you insights to make the right decisions, and help you discuss your financial performance with your bank, accountant, advisor and investors.

 

This series is ideal for the business owner or aspiring business owner that would like to better understand the key financial requirements for establishing and maintaining a successful business. It is segmented into a 6-part series which will give attendee’s a great opportunity to go back and implement the learnings of each week into their own business or business plan without information overload.

 

Session 1 (14 June): Business Finance Basics: Introduction & setting the foundations of your business, including accounting software
Session 2 (21 June): Terminology: understanding accounting & finance basics
Session 3 (28 June): Business Reporting: Understanding financial reports & key performance metrics
Session 4 (5 July): Budgeting & Forecasting: How to set a monthly budget and cash flow forecast
Session 5 (12 July): Where to start: How to review and assess your monthly business performance
Session 6 (19 July): App’s to drive efficiency: Business intelligence tools to help drive your business
Capstone segment: 1:1 video conference meeting: each attendee will meet with us to implement the above & go through any further questions. This ensures we can implement what you have learnt!
